The following message is from North 91ÌÒÉ« Middle School Principal Andrea Piper:

Dear families:

I am writing to update you on a security matter that we are investigating in partnership with local, state and federal law enforcement officials.

On Sunday, an unidentified caller left a message on our answering machine at school threatening violence against North 91ÌÒÉ« Middle School on Wednesday, Sept. 13. We reported this information to the 91ÌÒÉ« Police Department immediately when we received the message Monday morning. 

The 91ÌÒÉ« police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have informed us that they do not consider this to be a credible threat. However, out of an abundance of caution we will have additional police and security personnel at school throughout the day Wednesday. 

The safety and security of every member of our school community is a top priority at North 91ÌÒÉ« and throughout the City School District of 91ÌÒÉ«. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate this matter, and we will provide updates if we are advised that additional security precautions may be recommended.
