News

Last week was another great week of learning and growing here at Myers - check out photo highlights:

  • Sixth grade finished up a unit on persuasive writing and students presented their projects to convince peers that their

  • Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School is proud to honor prominent Black abolitionists and key leaders of the Underground Railroad every day but last week

Our is scheduled for Aug. 25-26 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Aug. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Register your rising sixth grade using by Aug. 15.


The Myers PTSA will be voting on new bylaws for 2026-27 (and beyond). Members, in addition to the board, are required to attend for a vote. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 5:30 p.m. If you can't make it in person, please consider attending online .


Please join the 91ÌÒÉ« SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) for their last meeting of the year - a virtual presentation from Maureen Aromi, a Speech-Language Pathologist in the City School District of 91ÌÒÉ«. It's next Thursday (June 11) from 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m. Maureen Aromi has many years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in our district and will present about a variety of types of communication disorders along with some general best practices, with time for questions and discussion at the end. A link to the Google Meet can be found here.

Details for the June 16 modified sports celebration are now available. Mark your calendars and get ready for a fun event recognizing Junior Falcon growth and success!


The New York State Community Schools Network, which Myers is a participating partner, is excited to invite students across New York State to help shape the message of community schools for the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. that captures what community schools mean to you. The contest deadline is June 5.
